Uttam Galva plans Rs 300 cr power plant in Maharashtra
New Delhi, June 13 (UNI) Uttam Galva Steels Ltd, leading manufacturers of cold rolled steel and galvanised steel, today said it has proposed to set up a power plant at Khopoli in Maharashtra, with an investment of Rs 300 crore.
The company said in a statement that it plans to set up 60 MW captive coal-fired power plant at Khopoli with an investment of about Rs 300 crores.
The plant is likely to be commissioned within 24 months, it added.
The company is a large supplier of galvanised coils and sheets to the construction industry, and also exports its products in Australia, France, Germany, Greece, the UK and the US.
