Rains in many places on the on set of monsoon
Bhopal, Jun 13 (UNI) Several places in Madhya Pradesh experienced light to moderate rains as monsoon became active in the state since the past two days.
According to the MET office here, rains were recorded in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Ujjain, Sagar and Gwalior, while Seoni recorded 10 cm, Datia six cm, Guna and Shivpuri had five and three cm rainfall respectively.
The forecast said there was possibility of rains accompanied by thunder in several places in Gwalior, Chambal and Ujjain divisions.
Although there was no rain here today, rains and overcast conditions prevailed in some parts of the division. The mercury dropped down considerably here due to monsoon.
Significantly, monsoon this year ushered in the state two days ahead of schedule, which brought a sigh of relief to farmers and common people.
