Police resort to lathicharge to control kamal fans
Puducherry, Jun 13 (UNI) Police resorted to lathicharge to bring order among the moviegoers who thronged the 'Altaps' theatre here, to see the first show of Kamal Hassan film 'Dasavatharam', which was released today.
This is the first film to be screened in the theatre after renovation and change of name. The fans were allowed to enter the theatre only after being checked with a metal detector. Though advance booking was there, the fans rushed to enter the theatre. As the situation turned worse, the police resorted to lathicharge.
Chief Minister N Rangasamy, Legislator R Siva and Puducherry Municipality Chairperson Sreedevi and Councillor Sakthivel watched the movie.
