Two killed, 30 injured in electrocution
Sheikhpura, June 12 (UNI) Two people were killed and 30 others sustained burn injuries when a bus carrying them came in contact with high tension live electric wire near Girihinda chowk in the district today.
Police said the ill-fated bus was on way to Barbigha from Sheikhpura when it came into contact with the high tension wire claiming the life of the driver on the spot.The other person died in a hospital in Bihar Sharif while condition of two others was stated to be critical.
District Magistrate Anjani Kumar Verma and police superintendent Indranand Mishra rushed to the spot immediately after receiving the information about the incident and launched rescue operation.Those injured seriously had been referred to Patna Medical College Hospital(PMCH) while others were admitted to various hopitals in Sheikhpura and Bihar Sharif.
Meanwhile, the District Magistrate had constituted a two-member committee comprising deputy police superintendent and sub divisional officer to inquire into the matter.
