Tata Agrico ties with Tata BP Solar, eyes rural, semi-urban mkts
New Delhi, June 12 (UNI) Targeting consumers facing erratic electricity supplies in the rural hinterland of the country, Tata Agrico today entered into an agreement with Tata BP Solar for distributing solar products in such areas.
Tata Agrico, a division of Tata Steel, will be leveraging its extensive distribution network in the country to promote the solar products of Tata BP, a company statement said here.
Both the companies see a huge potential in both rural and semi-urban markets and would primarily focus on products such as solar lanterns, street-lights and water-heating systems.
The partnership, to be started in Bihar this month, will be rolled out across the country, the statement said.
