Siddiqui new NCTE chairperson

New Delhi, Jun 12 (UNI) Prof Mohammad Akhtar Siddiqui was today appointed the new chairperson of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

After completing his education from the University of Leeds, the UK, Prof Siddiqui served as dean and professor, faculty education, Jamia Milia Islamia at New Delhi, Director UGC academic staff college and head of the Institute of Advanced Studies in education.

Prof Siddiqui, an eminent scholor and acamedic, later took office in the day.
