RCF roles out Garib Rath coaches

Kapurthala, June 12 (UNI) Rail Coach Factory (RCF) rolled out 13th Garib Rath rake for East Central Railway, Hajipur today.

Railway Board Chairman K C Jena flagged off the rake. The AC coaches of Garib Rath train are having a passenger carrying capacity of 78 berths and these coaches are instrumental in providing AC travel facility to the lower income class.

These coaches have been provided with improved interior furnishing and Madhubani Paintings for the first time.

Mr Jena visited the workshop and inspected the infrastructure and coach manufacturing facilities at shell and furnishing shop. He also inspected the new wheel shop site, being constructed at a cost of Rs 68 crore.

Addressing the officers, Mr Jena said the demand for passenger coaches was growing rapidly, as such railways will have to manufacture more coaches.

The Chairman also visited the Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital where he inaugurated the Critical Care Ambulance Van for the patients.
