Railway officials visit proposed coach factory site
Palakkad, Jun 12 (UNI) A high-level team of officials from Rail India Technical and Economic Service (RITES) today visited Kanjikode and Puthussery, identified by Kerala government to set up a railway coach factory.
The four member-team, led by RITES General Manager G B Malik, met with District Collector K S Sreenivas and discussed the project.
Special Officer for the project, appointed by the state government, Usha Titus was also present.
The state government had already identified 1,000 acres of land for the project. A preliminary inspection had already found the site suitable for the coach factory.
