Pilot arrested in connection with airhostess suicide case
Mumbai, Jun 12 (UNI) Police today arrested a Co-pilot of Indigo Airlines in connection with the suicide of an airhostess in a hotel at Juhu in North-West Mumbai.
Senior Inspector of police Dilip Gaikwad of Santacruz police satation said co-pilot Arjun Menon was arrested this morning. But refused to disclose any further development in the case.
Menon was with her earlier during the day on June 8, when the body of 25-year-old Sucheta Anand was found hanging from the ceiling fan in a room of the five-star hotel.
According to sources, both were having close relations and the pilot allegedly refused to marry Sucheta, a resident of Delhi, who had recently divorced her husband.
Police have registered a case of suicide.
Sucheta's ex-husband Sumit Virmani, who is staying in Delhi, has been summoned by police here.
