Opposition march to Rajbhawan, demand Gogoi's removal

Guwahati, Jun 12 (UNI) Opposition regional political parties today marched to the Raj Bhawan demanding ouster of the Tarun Gogoi government alleging all-round failure.

The Asom Gana Parishad(AGP), Asam United Democratic Front(AUDF) and other regional parties took part in the protest march.

The Left and BJP, however, did not take part in the rally.

The march was led by AGP president Brindabon Goswami, leader of the opposition Chandra Mohan Patowary and AGP's senior leaders as well as Trinamool Gana Parishad(TGP).

They alleged that the Gogoi government had failed in all fronts. They also submitted a memorandum to the Governor Lt gen (retd) Ajai Singh alleging that the Chief Minster Gogoi had been protecting tainted ministers in its cabinet.
