Kerala Governor condoles death of poet

Thiruvananthapuram, Jun 12: Kerala Governor R L Bhatia has mourned the demise of eminent poet Pala Narayanan Nair, who died yesterday at Vaikom.

In a condolence message here, he said, ''I am profoundly sad at the passing away of Mahakavi Pala Narayanan Nair. A poet of the highest order, he eulogised Kerala and its glorious heritage in glowing terms.'' Conveying his heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family and his admirers, the Governor said, ''His magnum opus 'Kerala Valarunnu' is an evocative work that celebrated the earthy and ethereal beauty of Kerala, tracing its many-splendoured past and prospective future.''
