IFGL Refractories buys German Hofmann Ceramic

{image-hofman ceramic_12062008.jpg news.oneindia.in}New Delhi, June 12: With a view to diversify into foundry business, IFGL Refractories Ltd today said it has acquired Germany-based ceramic filter maker Hofmann Ceramic GmbH.

The deal, to be carried through IFGL's UK subsidiary Monocon International Refractories Ltd, also involves acquisition of Hofmann's subsidiaries in UK and Czech Republic, the company said in a statement. However, the company did not disclose any financial details of the deal. Involved in the manufacturing of refractories for the foundry industry, Hofmann has a combined turnover of 13.67 million euros, the statement said.
