Heavy rains lash Vidarbha
Nagpur, Jun 12 (UNI) Heavy rains continued to lash Vidarbha, with several parts of the region experiencing wet spells for the second day running today.
The widespread rains were because of the onset of the monsoon over the region, the local Meteorological Office said.
Nagpur recorded a rainfall of 43.4 mm during the last 12 hours ending 2030 hrs today, the Met office said.
Rainfall recorded in other parts of the region during the past 24 hours ending 0830 hrs today were Akola city 0.7 mm, Amravati 6.0, Bramhapuri 10.0, Buldhana 15.0, Gondia 71.2, Washim 5.1 and Yavatmal 11.8.
