Gen Kapoor visits Vajra Corps

Jalandhar, Jun 12 (UNI) Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Deepak Kapoor today visited the Vajra Corps headquarters here.

He was accompanied by Ms Kirti Kapoor, President Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA).

Lt Gen T K Sapru, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Western Command also accompanied the COAS. During his visit the General and Mrs Deepak Kapoor were conducted by the Vajra Corps General Officer Commanding, Lt Gen S S Kumar and Mrs Preeti Kumar, President Vajra Corps AWWA.

At the Corps headquarters, Gen Kapoor was briefed by Lt Gen S S Kumar, General Officer Commanding, Vajra Corps regarding operational, logistics, training and administrative aspects of the formations.

The COAS exhorted officers and other ranks to maintain high standard of operational readiness, training and carry on the good work being done by the Army.

Ms Kirti Kapoor met wives of Officers, Junior Commissioned Officers and Other Ranks and was briefed on the welfare activities being conducted by the Vajra Corps for which she expressed her appreciation.

She also inaugurated state of the art MRI scan facilities in Military Hospital here.
