Cabinet approves Rs 2000 per sq mt for old buildings repair

Mumbai, Jun 12 (UNI) Maharashtra cabinet has approved increase in the limit of expenditure on repair of old and dilapidated buildings.

constructed before 1969.

The repair work is done by Maharashtra housing and area development board and now the expenditure limit will be Rs 2000 per sq mt.

A decision to this effect was taken at the cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh here today.

The cabinet also decided to continue the education fee reimbursement scheme for SC, ST, special backward class and OBC backward and economically backward class students, taking admission to vocational courses in private unaided colleges during the academic year 2008-09.
