BSF seized 4 kg heroin, arrest two
Amritsar, Jun 12 (UNI) The Border Security Force (BSF) today seized four kg heroin near Mainwali Border Outpost (BOP) and nabbed the two drug carriers.
BSF sources said here that the two carriers were nabbed after they had collected the heroin packets from an agricultural field close to the border. The packets had been smuggled from Pakistan and concealed in the field. The two carriers were informed on their mobile phones by an unknown source about the location of the drug.
The carriers identified as Deepak of Bhure Kone village and Balwinder Singh of Wan Tara Singh village were later arrested under the NDPS Act. The case was registered at the Khem Karan police station by the Punjab Police.
