Puducherry: VCK agitates against fuel price hike

Puducherry, June 11: The Puducherry unit of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) today staged a demonstration near the Venkatasubbareddiyar statue here to protest the hike in the prices of petroleum products.

Led by party State Organising Secretary Pavanan, the party cadres shouted slogans and demanded the immediate roll back of the hike. They also urged the territorial administration to reduce the sales tax on petrol and diesel to check the price of the fuels.
