Three motorcyclists die in road accident in HP
Dharamshala, Jun 11 (UNI) Three motorcyclist died on the spot and another was seriously injured after their vehicle crashed into a tree in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh late last night, police sources today said.
The accident occurred near Jawalamukhi, about 38 km from here, when the four on a single motorcycle were on their way to Nadaun from Jaswan in the district at about 2330 hrs.
The sources said the motorcycle first crashed into a tree and then fell down into a gorge.
While three people, identified as Vikram, Sanjeev and Sunil died on the spot, another identified as Ashish, who was seriously injured, was referred to Dr Rajinder Prasad Medical College and Hospital at Tanda where the doctors described his condition critical.
The cause of the accident was, however, not immediately known, the sources said adding that the speeding motorcycle must have lost control over the vehicle, which crashed into the tree.
The dead bodies were handed over to their relatives after post mortem. A case has been registered and investigations were on, the police sources added.
