Miscreants decamp with Rs five lakh worth mobile phones

Chennai, Jun 11: Unidentified miscreants struck at a mobile shop and decamped with different models of cell phones worth Rs five lakh at the upmarket Annanagar area in the city last night.

Police said the incident came to light when the manager of Subhiksha Mobile Store, which has a chain of stores across the State, came to open the shop this morning.

The miscreants had gained entry into the shop by breaking open the rearside door.

Annanagar East police have registered a case and investigating.
