PETA launches birthday offensive against Olsen twins

Melbourne, June 10 : People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has a birthday offensive against Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen for wearing fur.

The Animal Rights group is asking their campaigners to send a snippet of their own hair to the two stars who will be celebrating their 22 birthday on Friday, June 13.

And along with the hair, the group is also asking its people to include a little note: "Please, use my hair instead of the animals'. Happy birthday."

"Mary-Kate and Ashley are old enough now to know that fur doesn't grow on trees," the Daily Telegraph quoted PETA's assistant director of youth campaigns Dan Shannon, as saying.

"We hope that on their birthday, they will take a moment to think about the many animals who won't live to see another birthday thanks to the twins' abominable taste in clothes."
