CID official dismissed from service

Hyderabad, June 9 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh government today dismissed CID Inspector J Rama Mohana Rao from service in connection with a bribe case.

According to an official release here, the official was trapped by the ACB when he accepted Rs 2,000 as bribe from a complainant on June 16, 2001.

In another bribe case, the Special Judge for ACB cases, Vijayawada, convicted Ms Syed Dildar Begum, a Senior Assistant in the office of the Executive Engineer in the Andhra Pradesh Housing Board, and sentenced her to one-year simple imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 1,000.
