Three of a family killed in a jeep-trawler collision

Karnal, Jun 7 (UNI) Two women and a girl child died on the spot while six others of a local business family were injured when their Tata Safari collided with a trawler near Khanpur village on Indri-Karnal road today.

The family, which owns a saree showroom in Nehru Palace here, was on way to Dehradun when their vehicle collided with the trawler.

In the accident, Poonam (35), Neelam (30) and her five-year-old daughter Gauri died on the spot, while deceased Poonam's son, another daughter and husband Kuldeep along with Neelam's daughter and husband Neeraj were injured in the accident.

They were all admitted in the Trauma centre here.

The other two injured identified as Nimish and driver Pawan were rushed to Apollo Hospital Delhi in a serious condition.
