Rollback in domestic LPG price: Notification issued by Delhi Govt
New Delhi, Jun 7 (UNI) The Delhi government today issued notification in respect of reduction by Rs 40 in enhanced price of domestic LPG cylinders in Delhi, announced by it on June 5.
As per the notification issued by the Department of Trade and Taxes of Delhi government, the domestic LPG cylinder would now be sold at Rs 304.70.
The city-government would take care of the reduced amount of Rs 40 per cylinder, the notification said. It has ensured implementation of its announced decision.
As per the announcement made by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit the price of the LPG cylinder in Delhi has been hiked only to the tune of Rs 10 instead of Rs 50 announced by the Centre on June 4.
This decision was taken by the city-government with an aim to provide substantial relief in overall kitchen expenditure, keeping in view its commitment towards the 'Aam Aadmi'.
It was decided to restrict hike in LPG cylinder by Rs 10 only to contain rate of inflation in the Capital-city.
Copies of the notification have also been sent for compliance to the three oil companies to enable them to pass the benefit of state's support of Rs 40 per cylinder to domestic customers.
The companies have been marketing LPG cylinders in Delhi.
