27 injured as bus falls in ditch in Punjab
Fatehgarh Sahib, Jun 7 (UNI) As many as 27 people were injured when the bus of a private transport company in which they were travelling fell into a roadside ditch after hitting a tree near Bhat Majra village on NH-I today.
According to police sources, the bus was bound for Rajpura from Ludhiana.
Five of the seriously injured, including the bus driver, Raju, Jaswinder, Bira, Mohinder Yadav and Rohit, were referred to PGI, Chandigarh. The rest were admitted to the civil hospital here.
Police after questioning the injured and eyewitnesses registered a case against the driver as the bus was moving at high speed when the accident occurred.
