Woman burnt over water dispute dies in MP
Harda, MP, June 6 (UNI) A woman, who had sustained burns when a few people set her on fire over a dispute related to fetching water at Kamtada village, 21 km from this district headquarters on Wednesday, has died.
Prema Bai (55) had gone to fetch water from a public hand pump when she had an argument with some people over filling water on Wednesday, family members alleged.
Later, a few people reached her home and set her on fire. She was admitted to hospital in neighbouring Khandwa district where she died yesterday.
Police reached the spot last night.
Superintendent of Police G Venkatesh said they have a registered a case. Investigation into the matter was underway.
