Jammu, June 6 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today said his government has successfully expanded education to the remote areas and youth should be benefitted from institutions of higher education at their doorsteps.

Addressing public meetings at Banihal and Neel areas of Ramban district and Dharmari in Reasi district after inaugurating the classes in the new government degree colleges, Mr Azad said, ''Both at school and higher education levels the state has witnessed unprecedented growth and infrastructure development during the past four years.'' ''Education is one of the topmost priority sectors for my government and areas that were left unattended in terms of opening of schools and colleges were being provided the facility one after the other,'' Mr Azad said.

He said in the coming three to four years the quality of education in Jammu and Kashmir will touch standards as high as in the educationally developed states of the country.
