Rupee further weakens at 42.84/85 against USD

Mumbai, Jun 5: Rupee today extended the losses against US Dollar and opened at 42.84/85, weakened about seven paise on weak global cues.

The Indian currency further depreciated against the greenback on worries of more foreigners pulling out funds from the stock market and tracking the Dollar's strength against some major currencies in the global market, dealers said.

Rupee had touched a low of 42.9750 and 0.2 per cent weaker than its previous close of 42.77/78, dealers added.
