Agreement for six laning of NH-5 signed
New Delhi, Jun 5 (UNI) The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has signed a concession agreement for six laning of 82.5 km Chilkaluripet-Vijayawada section on NH-5 in Andhra Pradesh under the NHDP-V on a Build Operate and Transfer (toll) basis.
The agreement was signed by M/s IJM Corporation Berhard and IDFC, in the presence of NHAI chief N Gokulram, an official release said.
The total cost of the project was Rs 675 crore and the concession period is for 15 years including construction period of 2.5 years.
It has adequate provision for bridges, fly-overs, vehicular underpasses, road overbridges, pedestrians underpasses and automatic traffic counters, variable message signs and CCTV telephone cameras.
It also provides for 152 km-long service roads on both sides of the project.
