Guj: 60-year-old man dies in heavy rains

Rajkot, June 5: A sixty year-old man was killed when lightening struck him at Bedi para area as heavy rains lashed the city and surrounding areas.

Two persons were injured after a tree fell on them near Lalpari.

The rains yesterday evening had resulted in considerable fall in temperature.

The deceased was identified as Haribhai Manjibhai, fire-brigade sources said.

The injured were admitted to the civil hospital.

According to the fire-briagde sources, Rajkot city recorded 68 mm of rainfall yesterday.
