Rains likely in Northeast, Kerala, Orissa, West Bengal, Jharkhand

Pune, Jun 4 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, south Konkan, Goa, south Madhya Maharashtra, Rayalseema, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers will also occur at a few places in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Vidarbha, north Konkan, north Madhya Maharashtra, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, south Gujarat and Tamil Nadu.

Heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in Saurashtra and north Madhya Maharashtra. Hot day conditions prevailed at isolated places in north Konkan.

In the regions where the Southwest Monsoon is yet to set in, the day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in north Konkan, south Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha, and in some parts of Marathwada. They were above normal in some parts of east Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Chattisgarh.

Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, west Uttar Pradesh and in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan, and were below normal in west Bihar and in some parts of Gangetic West Bengal.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Lakshadweep and at many places in Assam, Meghalaya, Madhya Maharashtra, Rayalseema, interior Karnataka and Kerala, and at few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, east Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Konkan, Goa, Marathwada and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, west Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and coastal Karnataka.
