5 of family fall ill due to food poisoning

Srinagar, June 4: Five members of a Bakerwal family fell ill due to food poisoning in south Kashmir, official sources said today.

They said the family members fell unconscious immediately after eating food at Mattan in south Kashmir district of Anantnag last night.

However, they were immediately shifted and admitted to a hospital here, sources said, adding their condition is stated to be critical.

A couple from Maharashtra fell ill recently and their two children died, reportedly due to food poisoning in a local hospital at Sonawar here.
