PM bats for hockey revival

New Delhi, June 3, 2008 : Indian hockey has been in the limelight for quite some time now. Well more for controversies than achievements. Looking at the condition of the national game in a cricket crazy country, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh urged his sports minister on Monday to work for the revival of hockey.

The Prime Minister said this while releasing a book 'Golden Yardstick: In Quest of Hockey Excellence' authored by former hockey captain Balbir Singh in New Delhi.
