Toll in bridge collapse rises to four

Tumkur,June 3: The toll in the bridge collapse in Gubbi taluk in the district, rose to four, with two more labourers succumbing to injuries in the hospital today.

Two labourers were killed on the spot and 24 others trapped when a bridge under construction across Hemavathy irrigation canal collapsed in Gubbi taluk in this district last evening.

Meanwhile, labourers are not allowing to remove the bodies demanding that officials concerned should visit the spot and announce suitable compensation.
