Study says more jobs in India than US

Bangalore, Jun 3 (UNI) Indian students can be happy. The country is ahead of the US in terms of job opportunities, a study conducted by Accenture said today.

However, the Indian students, 286 of them were interviewed among 2,464 in eight nations, said a weak economy could affect their chances of landing in good jobs.

While 46 per cent of them were worried about this, it was less compared to 63 foreign students.

A company release said 87 per cent of students in India were already looking for a job even as they entered the final year of their graduation, while half of them succeeded in getting one.

For Indian students the standing of the company was more important than salary.

If they could get a job in a top company, they were ready to settle for little less, they said.

Computers remained the top choice of the Indian graduates who preferred technology consulting, communications or electronics.
