Panel recommends intra-party reforms in Congress
New Delhi, Jun 3 (UNI) The AICC Committee on Future Challenges today finalised a report on intra party reforms in the Congress to make its functioning more democratic and participative.
A meeting of the committee, attended by AICC general Secretary Rahul Gandhi, has reportedly suggested several reforms at the lowest to the highest levels in the party apparatus as part of the effort to revitalise the 113-year-old political outfit.
The report assumes significance in the context of Mr Gandhi's advocacy for strengthening inner party democracy in the Party.
AICC Media Department Chairman Veerappa Moily told mediapersons that the report would be submitted to Congress President Sonia Gandhi for further action.
