Page Industries Limited FY-08 Net rises 40 pc

Mumbai, Jun 3: Page Industries Limited, the exclusive licensee of the US-based Jockey International Inc. for India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh and Maldives, today announced a 40 per cent jump in its net profit at Rs 23.81 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008, as compared to the net profit of Rs 17.02 crore posted during the last fiscal.

The net sales from operations during the year shot up 42 per cent to Rs 192.34 crore as compared to Rs 135.93 crore reported in the previous year.

Commenting on the performance, Company managing director Sunder Genomal hoped to maintain the growth momentum as the premium innerwear market in India was looking ahead for a double digit growth.
