Noted Marathi producer-director Deulgaonkar dead
Nagpur, June 3 (UNI) Annasaheb Deulgaonkar, well-known producer, director, script writer and dialogue writer of Marathi films, died after a brief illness here today. He was 87.
Mr Deulgaonkar had been living with his daughter, his only child, here for the last few years. He was hospitalised a few days ago and breathed his last this morning. The last rites were performed this afternoon.

'Maherchi
Sadi.'
Born
on
August
22,
1920,
in
Pune,
Mr
Deulgaonkar
produced
the
Marathi
film
'Mayabaazar'
in
1945.
During
his
career,
he
produced
and
directed
over
50
films,
which
included
comedies,
woman-oriented
films,
religious
films
and
even
on
contemporary
issues.
Other
films
that
he
was
associated
were
'Dhoom
Dhadaka'
and
'De
Danadan.'
