Man held guilty of killing wife
New Delhi, Jun 3 (UNI) A city court today convicted a man and one of his accomplices for killing his newly-married wife in 2001.
Rajni, the victim, was married to Vijay, a property dealer, on February 20, 2001. The convicts murdered her on August 13 the same year in Vasant Vihar.
According to the prosecution, on the fateful day, Vijay had started headed to his house from his in-laws house at Wazirpur along with Rajni around 1030 hrs.
On the way, one of his aides Vinod was already awaiting their arrival. At the pre-decided spot, he entered the car and shot at the victim on forehead.
Vijay attacked her again in the chest from close range.
Hearing the case, Additional Sessions Judge Vinod Kumar held the accused guilty and adjourned the matter for a decision on the quantom of sentence till tomorrow.
