HJC fighting for existence, Congress claims

Ambala, Jun 3 (UNI) Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee Working President Kuldip Sharma today claimed that the newly-formed Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) was fighting for its existence after the defeat in the byelections held recently in the state.

The party headed by Kuldip Bishnoi had no future and with ''the defeat of HJC, senior leader like Bhajan Lal had lost his identity due to blunders committed by his pampered son'', Mr Sharma said while interacting with presspersons here today.

He said that Mr Bishnoi was giving ''childish exuses'' with regard to his resignation as MP claiming that the Lok Sabha Speaker was not available whenever he had gone to hand it over.

The HPCC Working President also asserted that his party was well-prepared to face the Lok Sabha elections and would win all the 10 seats.

He said that change would be effected in the party organisation, if needed.

In reply to a question he denied that his party had used government machinery in the recently held-byelections. He also denied that the Congress was facing groupism.

He, however, said that an enquiry would be held on the role of party leaders against whom allegations of not compaigning were being levelled.
