Groundnut oil flat, karanji, sunflower oils, key seeds drop

Mumbai, June 3 (UNI) Prices of spot groundnut raw today remained flat but palmolein, sunflower refined, karanji, cottonseed refined oils and sesameseed and castorseed varieties suffered a setback on sustained heavy selling pressure by stockists because of weaker advice from producing centres, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange (BCE) said here.

Among oils (per ten kg), groundnut raw remained flat at Rs 710 on moderate demand but pamolein refined, cottonseed refined, sunflower refined and karanji dropped beween Rs five and Rs ten on lack of fresh demand from bulk consumers.

Among seeds (per quintal), sesameseed whitish crashed by Rs 100 while castorseed Bombay, Disa and Hyderabad varieties declinled by Rs 15, Rs 125 and Rs 30 respectively on sustained heavy selling pressure from millers, induced by bearish advice from producing centres particulary Gujarat and southern regions, traders added.
