Govt expands number of registration centres for OSP, telemarveters

New Delhi, Jun 3 (UNI) The Government, in a bid to decentralise the Registration of Vigilance Telecom Monitoring (VTM) cells under other Service Provider (OSP Telemarketers), has enlarged the scope of registration to all 34 VTM Cells with effect from June 1 this year.

Earlier, the registration was confined to only 10 VTM Cells, accordingly the OSPs seeking registration of call centres (Domestic and International) in the circles should apply directly to the heads of the respective VTM Cells as per location of the proposed call centres.

Similarly, the telemarketers applying for registration under Telemarketing category, with effect from June 1 this year, will have to register with the respective VTM Cells as per location of the proposed telemarketing centres.

The terms and conditions for registration under OSP category and Telemarketing category will continue to remain the same, the release added.
