Govinda's nephew granted bail in assault case
Mumbai, Jun 3 (UNI) City Civil and Sessions Court Principal Judge D K Nalawade today granted bail to Jamendra Ahuja, nephew of Bollywood actor and Congress MP Govinda, in an assault case filed against him by his fiancee.
Judge Nalawade, while granting the bail upon furnishing Rs 10,000, directed Jamendra not to meet the complainant.
Jamendra had filed for anticipatory bail yesterday, fearing arrest on a complaint lodged by his girl friend Panchali Gupta for allegedly assaulting her on May 29.
Jamendra and Panchali had an argument on May 29 when Jamendra allegedly assaulted the latter.
