Bhubaneswar, Jun 3 (UNI) The Orissa Pradesh Congress Committee would launch a jail bharo agitation in front of the offices of all the three Revenue Divisional Commissioners to protest the state government's failure on all fronts.

AICC General Secretary K Suresh said the party would hold its agitation in front of the office of the RDC Central Division Cuttack on June 20, in Southern Division, Berhampur on June 27 and in Northern Division, Sambalpur in the first week of July.

Mr Suresh said the detail programmes of the agitation would be chalked out at a meeting of the extended executive body meeting of the Pradesh Congress Committee scheduled on June 8.

AICC Coordinator Pawan Singh Ghotwalla, CWC member and Union Minister Ajay Maken and he himself would attend the meeting.

Mr Suresh said the BJD-BJP government in Orissa was deliberately not implementing the central schemes in Orissa just to 'defame' the government.

'' Though the Chief Minister was writing letter to the Centre demanding setting up of an IIT in Orissa, but it was surprising that though the union government had approved setting up the IIT, the state government failed to provide land for it,'' he said.

He accused the Chief Minister of shedding crocodile tears for farmers. Though the Chief Minister often claimed that his government was according top priority to agriculture but in fact it denied the farmers the minimum support price of Rs 1000 for paddy recommended by the Commission on Agriculture cost and Prices, a central government body.

Instead it fixed Rs 850 as the support price of paddy, he said.
