BJP pushes further decision on demand of Bihar dissidents
New Delhi, Jun 3 (UNI) The BJP today took stock of the developments in Bihar unit of the party without taking any final view on the dissidents' demand for the leadership change in the state.
A day after the National Executive meeting, the party's Central Parliamentary Board met here for an in-depth assessment of the BJP's prospects in this Hindi heartland state vis-a-vis growing dissidence in view of the coming Lok Sabha elections.
Emerging from the one and a half hour meeting, party general secretary Arun Jaitley told reporters that nothing had been decided about the demand of the dissidents. Leader of Opposition L K Advani also attended the meeting.
Party president Rajnath Singh will hold another round of discussions with party leaders tomorrow.
A delegation of dissidents have been camping in Delhi for the last several days campaigning against the style of functioning of Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi.
BJP is the junior partner in the alliance government led by Nitish Kumar of Janata Dal (United).
