Survrathan to be new Chairman Food Safety,Upadhyay new JIC chief

New Delhi, Jun 2 (UNI) Dr P I Suvrathan, presently Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries has been appointed as Chairperson, Food Safety and Standards Authority, an official statement said today.

The appointment will be for a tenure of three years from the date he takes over, it said.

Mr Hridayanand Upadhdhya, presently Special Director, Intelligence Bureau will take over as Chairman, Joint Intelligence Committee (JIC) on a tenure of three years until further orders, whichever is earlier, the statement by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet said.
