AP to set up new corporation

Hyderabad, Jun 2 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh (AP) Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said the government would set up AP Education and Welfare Infrastructure Development Corporation, for which a Government Order is likely to be issued on June four.

According to an official release here, he said the engineering wing of the SC would be merged with the new corporation.

The new corporation would take over all works of strengthening of residential schools and the Rajiv Vidya Mission in the state.

The formation of a Common Society for residential schools was also under consideration, he said, adding, this was mooted to achieve high quality in academic and administrative standards in the state.
