78-yr-old woman murdered in Greater Kailash

New Delhi, June 2: An elderly woman was allegedly murdered at her Greater Kailash residence in south Delhi, in an apparent robbery bid. Hanslata Maheshwari (78) was found murdered in her bathroom by her son late last night, police said.

Her son and daughter-in-law had gone to a closeby club here, to watch the Indian Premier League (IPL) finals on a big screen. Later, when they returned the victim was found dead in the bathroom. She sufferred injuries on her head and the house too had been ransacked, the son told the police. No one has been named as a suspect till now, police said, adding investigations were on.
