Mela Khir Bhawani and Mata Bhadrakali to be held after two decades
Srinagar, Jun 1 (UNI) A large number of Kashmiri Pandits, living in different parts of the country after their migration from here in the early Nineties, are expected to participate in the Mela Khir Bhawani Mata Bhadrakali in the frontier district of Kupwara.
This will be for the first time that authorities are expecting a good number of devotees participating in the Pooja and havan being organised on June 10 at the shrines of Khir Bhawani at Tikkar and Mata Bhadrakali at Handwara in the Kupwara.
Official sources said besides, the Kashmiri pandits, who did not migrate and stayed back in the valley, a large number of those who are now living in different cities of the country, are expected to participate in the celebrations.
Meanwhile, an official spokesperson said the district and tehsil administration have made elaborate arrangements of water, power, transport, cleanliness and other facilities for the devotees.
