youth gets 10 years imprisonment for raping minor
Una, May 31 (UNI) Una Fast Track Court Judge CL Kochar today convicted and sentenced a 22-year-old youth to 10 years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of rupees 10,000 for raping and attempting to kill a minor girl.
According to Deputy District Attorney MS Chauhan, accused Puneet Thakur, resident of Kuthera Jaswalan village in Gagret block had abducted a nine year old girl and took her to a secluded place in nearby forests. After raping the girl, he allegedly throttled her before leaving the spot.
The villagers later recovered the unconscious child from the scene of crime.
