Inquiry into firing during Gujjar agitation to be held on June 11
Chandigarh, May 31 (UNI) Rohtak Division Commissioner J P Kaushik will hold inquiry on June 11 into the firing incident during Gujjar agitation at Patti Kalyana in Panipat district on May 29.
Three people were killed and about 20 injured when police opened fire and resorted to lathicharge on Gujjar demonstrators who blocked the National Highway No 1 last Thursday.
Mr Kaushik has been appointed inquiry officer to look into the circumstances and events leading to the firing.
He said the witness could give his account through an affidavit, oral statement or in the form of a photograph, CD or film.
